When Joseph was in Eqypt, the Pharaoh gave him a new name: Zaphenath-Paaneah, which is thought to have meant 'saviour.' The Pharaoh gave him this name becuase of the predjudice Joseph would have suffered because of his Jewish background. (Genesis 41:45)
