I know we all remember singing this song when we were little, but we don't realize how much we want the sun to shine!
Even though too much sun is harmful, the right balance does good things for us.
The sun's UVB rays cause a chemical reaction to form in our bodies, in which the end result is Vitamin D.
Vitamin D boosts our energy, helps to strengthen our bones, and it prevents us from getting SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)
SAD is when you feel depressed at the same time of the year, every year. Some factors are:
Long winter nights
Little SUNLIGHT
and Body Temperature
The sun is good for us, but we still need to be careful that we don't have too much! Its all about having the right balance between too much, too little, and just enough!
